About the Internship:
• Paid full-time, 12-week internship, 5 days week in-office schedule, which could lead to a permanent full-time position.
• As an Industrial Design Intern, you will work in a fast-paced team setting revolving around design, development, and manufacturing children’s products. You will be responsible for assisting with the execution of a broad range of tasks in a time-sensitive and efficient manner.
Primary Activities:
• Collaborate in design research, brainstorming and ideation sessions
• Generate ideas, concepts, and product aesthetics through sketches and renderings
• Build prototypes and mockups of your concepts
• Contribute and collaborate with members of the product development team
• Assist in product innovation and new product ideas
• Provide design visualization to steer the development effort ranging from hand sketching to photo realistic renderings
Experience & Education Requirements:
• Recent Graduate: Industrial Design degree program
• Experience with prototyping design solutions
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and In-Design)
• Familiarity with KeyShot and Solidworks preferred
• Skilled with hand sketching and/or digital sketching using Cintiq screen
• Ability to understand and interpret technical and often complex mechanical constraints.
Portfolio Requirement:
• All candidates must submit a portfolio demonstrating their design process, skills, and examples of their work.
